2019 Forest Avenue

"The Dealership"

Most commonly known as the old Ford Dealership, the origins of this building have been traced back as far as 1890 when a frame livery stable was built on the site. In 1916, the livery was replaced by a brick structure, which in 1921 was used as an automobile garage. An addition was added between 1921 and 1928, which at one point was used as a car rental business. By the late 1940s, the building was used as a garage and car dealership. Finally, up until the late 2000s, the building housed a Ford Mercury Dealership. This building has great bones and a vast history that makes it one of the most interesting properties in our portfolio. With endless possibilities, and 15,876 SF, the Dealership has the potential to be BV's greatest treasure.​  This building is on the Register of Historic Places and is therefore eligible for historic tax credits.
